Booking without a subscription: the guest subscription
A person books a court in a sport for which they have no package, and the booking goes through. This is not an anomaly: having no package never prevents a booking on its own.
How the program chooses the subscription
For each booking, the program looks for the subscription to apply, in this order:
- the person's subscription for this sport and this season;
- failing that, the guest subscription (non-member type) of this sport-season;
- failing that again, the subscription marked default for the sport-season.
A person without a padel, squash or tennis package is therefore not blocked: they book with the sport's guest subscription, normally at the non-member rate. This is what lets a visitor or a member of another sport play by paying.
What really allows or refuses
Everything is decided by the subscription finally applied: its quota of allowed bookings, its restrictions (days, hours, courts, number), its hours to deduct, its validity period and any block. If you find a booking “that should not have gone through”, that is where to look, not at the player's profile.
Close a sport to people without a package
Open Subscriptions › Manage membership type, select the sport-season, then the guest / non-member subscription. Two options:
- set its Number of reservations currently authorised to 0;
- or add a restriction to this subscription, see Manage restrictions.
This setting applies to all people without a subscription on this sport-season, visitors included. If the club wants to keep booking open to paying visitors, prefer a targeted restriction to a quota of 0.
Leave the sport open at the guest rate
In this case, simply check that the non-member rate is defined for the sport-season, otherwise the booking goes through without being invoiced correctly. See Create booking prices: per session or per season and Manage subscription type.
